The Program Manager facilitates evaluation and understanding of our client's current and planned projects. This role is responsible for requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation, process mapping, establishing governance practices and outlining the scope of the digital program. The Program Manager is responsible for aligning efforts across multiple teams, internal, external and client to deliver on the organization's goals and strategy.

Your first 24 months will be focused on working with a large pharmaceutical client to help re-define several processes and platforms around clinical trials and a patient access program. You will be expected to spend significant time onsite between the client’s offices in Upper Gwynedd, PA, and Kenilworth, NJ.

Core Responsibilities

  • Evaluates the current state of client's digital project, program and portfolio practices
  • Manages day to day operations for large-scale program teams including external vendors and partner organizations
  • Coordinates complex project plans, identifying and capturing dependencies and deliverables, tracking teams against the plan
  • Schedules and hosts regular meetings to gather and communicate status, plan changes, risks, and issues
  • Manages concise definition of scope across the entire program
  • Defines and leads communication activities to create transparent reporting and escalation structures across the program
  • Defines and adjusts processes to effectively integrate diverse teams ranging from no process infrastructure to established and mature PMO’s
  • Provides insight to client by actively seeking out information from project teams
  • Ensures overall program and business goals are achievable
  • Creates and maintains documentation relevant to the management of the program and associated projects
  • Understands primary business objectives, articulating and implementing associated metrics and measurement and reporting processes
  • Identifies and gathers input from stakeholders to define and clarify requirements
  • Works with the client and Account Management teams on mapping out and defining the list of dependent projects that need to be completed to reach the overall goal
  • Works with Project Management to define an actionable plan to achieve the desired business results
  • Travels to client, Think Company, and partner sites to conduct program management responsibilities
  • Achieve consensus among diverse viewpoints and effectively translate ideas into prioritized, actionable steps
  • Confidently lead the project team by creating solutions for project challenges

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 6+ years’ experience managing programs and large-scale projects
  • 4+ years’ experience in senior client-facing role at an agency or similar client services environment
  • Pharmaceutical experience not required but considered a plus
  • Experience with process mapping, establishing governance practices, change management
  • Keen insight into human behavior and motivational forces to assist in managing various types of people
  • Proficient in a wide range of project and program management processes and methodologies
  • Proven track record of managing diverse projects and teams effectively achieving project goals and deadlines
  • Proven ability to react positively and recover problematic situations
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of implementing measurable processes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective communication to clients, internal staff, and executive management. Ability to interface with high-level client executives (up to C-level)
  • Excellent organizational skills to work efficiently and effectively.  This applies to your personal time management and organizational skills as well as to your ability to extend such practices across a team
  • Excellent consultative skills and an open mind to help develop business solutions for clients
  • Ability to translate business strategy into tactics
  • Capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate versatility, conviction, and a commitment to outstanding client service
  • Represent Think Company at all times with professionalism and integrity
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Familiar with Agile processes
